Commissioner KIM Yongrae gave his interviews at the Virtual 19th Open Forum hosted by the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) on November 4, 2020. Being held online under the presidency of FICPI President Julian Crump, the forum was attended by Mr. Andrei Iancu, Director of United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Mr. Antonio Campinos, President of the European Patent Office (EPO), Mr. Christian Archambeau, Executive Director of European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and Mr. Toshihide Kasutani, Commissioner of Japan Patent Office (JPO). At his pre-recorded interviews, Commissioner Kim presented the changes at KIPO caused by COVID-19 pandemic and the future prospects for the IP offices worldwide and patent attorneys in the face of advancement of Artificial Intelligence technology.
