KIPO Participated in 18th IP5 Heads of Office and Industry Meeting
The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), led by Commissioner Wan Gi Kim, announced its participation in the 18th IP5 Heads of Office Meeting held on May 28 2025 (local time) in Tianjin, China.
Discussions at this year's meeting centered on the cooperative projects being carried out by the offices to enhance efficiency in patent administration and user convenience, as well as the implications of artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies on the overall patent system.
Notably, the offices showed a concrete action with respect to Global Assignment, a long-cherished wish for the IP5 Industry groups. In its presentation, KIPO presented a common request form prepared for the actual implementation of it.
